With over 12 years of work experience in the event management and social networking sectors, I have developed core competencies in marketing communications, new business development, and strategic leadership. My mission is to create positive social impact and foster global connections through innovative and inclusive events and platforms. As the founder and president of SmallWorld Global, I lead a diverse and passionate team that aims to empower and inspire people from different backgrounds, cultures, and interests to connect, collaborate, and celebrate.
Before launching SmallWorld Global in 2011, I served as chief executive officer of Plush Events, an event management company recognized for delivering high-quality, memorable experiences. During my tenure, I successfully directed the creation and execution of events ranging from galas, exhibitions, seminars, and corporate events to community-cultural initiatives and the first activist walkathon in Abu Dhabi. I drew on my skills in networking, communications, and business development to build lasting partnerships, attract sponsors, and ensure the engagement and satisfaction of all stakeholders.
Building on this foundation of strategic leadership and cross-sector engagement, Salam expanded her leadership into enterprise stewardship and investment oversight. As Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Salient Fidelity Real Estate Group, she now leads strategic real estate investment and disciplined portfolio growth across diversified commercial and industrial holdings. Her role encompasses capital allocation, asset development, and institutional governance, applying the same structured leadership principles that defined her earlier work to long-term value creation and enterprise resilience.
